Power of Ideas
Power of Ideas
Why I am writing this post
It's pretty simple. I think nowadays our life has become too mechanical. 9 to 5 jobs and other tight schedules means we are bound to a routine which we follow mechanically. Some might argue that regularity in everything is good- they may even say it's the essential feature of an organised life. True enough, but one must not forget that while doing things mechanically may increase your efficiency, it's sure to bring down your creativity.
Cyclic processes inhibit open minded thinking- it kills creativity. But creativity is needed for inception of ideas. Without creativity, ideas would be worthless. So my simple aim to write this post is to urge my readers to never stop thinking. For when you stop thinking, your world will fall into another mechanical process from which you may never be able to come out. You will become just another 'Person'. But if you don't want to be just another 'Person' and truly leave your mark on the world, start thinking today and never stop- the greatest gift nature has endowed upon us is our extraordinary brain- don't waste it.
"An idea can change your life" is one of the most commonly heard English sentence. And this is true too- changes happen when we take action, and we take actions because of our ever changing dynamically evolving ideas and thoughts. All thoughts are born of ideas, hence all actions are indirect repercussions of ideas. Napoleon Hill rightly said- "All achievements, all earned riches, have their beginning in an idea."
Relation between ideas and thoughts
Ideas are pretty simple- they are singular in nature. But when an idea is developed, it becomes a thought which is not singular. We may look at thoughts in more than one way- and perspective matters when analysing a thought. One thought may mean different things for different people which depends on their way of looking at it. When one thought has evolved so much that it may have a distinct action, that's the time when our thoughts are converted into actions.Examples of how simple ideas changed the world forever
- Invention of Zero
- Concept of Wheel
- Einstein's idea of relation of energy and mass
- Newtons wondering of why things fell downward on Earth
- Idea of Equality and inequality of human beings
- Idea of Democracy
- Preference and acceptance of Monogamy
- Darwin's Ideas about evolution process
"You can have brilliant ideas, but if you can't get them across, your ideas won't get you anywhere." - Lee Iacocca
